"Benagami Ratio" Configuration
The "Benagami Ratio" is a mathematically calculable distance that creates the illusion of depth in variably sized congruent objects.
Two pieces of paper seem to be the same size in the picture at right.
Two pieces of paper seem to be a great distance apart.
In fact, they are the same pieces of paper.  Two congruent objects, at "Benagami Ratio" seperation, can convey the illusion of flatness or depth, depending on the direction they are viewed from.
I use a home-made laser based alignment tool to determine leaf placement.  This tool is made from a $10 fan and a $8 laser along with several miscellaneous hardware store parts and a small mirror.
